LG Dual Cool AI Air Deluxe the clever one.
More efficient, quieter and considerably smarter. AI-controlled airflow, Dual Vane and Soft Air make the difference you feel; LG's intelligent energy, air-cleaning and self-maintenance technology does the clever stuff in the background.
From £2,237 fully installed, one room.
Cheap air conditioning can make a room cold. Great air conditioning makes the room comfortable without constantly reminding you that it's there.
That's what the AI Air Deluxe is about. Its dual vanes give it much finer control over where the air goes, while AI Air and Soft Air distribute it more intelligently instead of firing a cold jet straight at the sofa or the bed. It's quieter too, which makes it our favourite for bedrooms and the rooms you actually live in.
Efficiency takes another step up. The 2.5kW model achieves a SEER of 8.7, and its inverter heat pump makes it an exceptionally capable winter heater as well.
Rather than asking a boiler to heat every room — or waiting hours for underfloor heating to react — hold a lower background temperature and let the LG rapidly warm the room you're actually using. Heat pumps move heat rather than creating it directly, so they can produce several units of heat for each unit of electricity consumed and, under the right conditions, cost less per unit of useful heat than gas.
Alongside cooling, heating and intelligent airflow it adds serious air-quality and self-cleaning technology. Plasmaster Ioniser+ helps reduce airborne particles and odours, while enhanced filtration keeps the air passing through the system cleaner. UVnano / UV LED technology on applicable models uses UV light to reduce microbial build-up on key internal components, and Freeze Cleaning runs a freeze-and-thaw cycle to help clear contamination off the heat exchanger.
You also get built-in WiFi and LG ThinQ, plus dehumidification — ideal for humid summer days, or for drying washing indoors without filling your home with moisture.
Choose a dedicated single split and the specification gets smarter again: depending on model, LG's kW Manager for monitoring and managing energy consumption, open-window detection to stop you heating the street, enhanced humidity control and further energy-saving functions. Choose a multi-room system and you still get the core advantages — sophisticated airflow, Dual Vane, Soft Air, smart connectivity and enhanced air treatment — while sharing one outdoor unit between several rooms. We'll show you exactly which features apply to your configuration before you order.
If it's a room you use every day, this is where we'd spend the extra.
