1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Some are needed for the site to work at all. Others measure how the site is used, or how well our advertising performs. This policy covers cookies and similar technologies such as local storage.
2. How we ask for your permission
When you first visit, everything optional is switched off. Nothing but the strictly necessary cookies below is set until you choose. You can accept everything, reject everything, or pick categories individually — rejecting is one click, exactly like accepting.
We use Google Consent Mode. Google's tags load but are told they may not store anything, so until you agree they cannot write cookies or identify you.
We remember your choice for 180 days, then ask again. You can change or withdraw it whenever you like: — also linked in the footer of every page.
3. Strictly necessary
These are always on. The site cannot work properly without them, so we do not ask.

4. Analytics — only with your consent
Google Analytics, so we can see which pages people use and where the quote builder loses them. We use it to improve the site, not to identify you.

5. Marketing — only with your consent
Google Ads, so we can tell which adverts produce genuine enquiries and stop paying for the ones that don't, and so we can show our adverts to people who have visited before.

6. What we don't do
- We don't set any advertising or analytics cookie before you agree.
- We don't sell your data, or share it with advertising networks beyond Google.
- We don't use cookie walls — refusing optional cookies gives you the whole site, working normally.
- Our performance monitoring (Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights) is aggregated and sets no cookies at all.
7. Managing cookies yourself
Besides our own controls, every major browser lets you block or delete cookies — usually under Settings → Privacy. Blocking everything may stop parts of the site working. You can also opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google's browser add-on.
